Wreck diving the Mahi
Hooked up with our longtime dive buddy Paul, who has been unable to dive lately -- but was kind enough to invite us aboard "3/4 Time" for a day of fishing (and diving) on Oahu's west side. Only 3 spotted eagle rays were hanging around the wreck today, and not much else in the way of activity. We spotted a snow-goddess nudibranch on the bow and a brown slipper lobster on the stern. Then, just as the dive computer was approaching "0" minutes, indicating that it was time to ascend, along comes the resident barracuda. We don't see it very often, and when we do, it always seems to be off in the distance, never approaching nearby. Today however, he was roaming the deck of the Mahi and approached within 10-12', close enough for me to capture this photo.
